Really enjoyed our visit as part of a walk around Leiden. We stayed an hour in this really large former church. There is a small restaurant there also. It is historically interesting as it has been there since 1120.

I had a nice visit here and I really loved the adjacent buildings. I stayed about two hours. It's a wonderfully large church (ex-church, as it is), and it is now empty of pews etc. I enjoyed the Pilgrim plaques outside, I visited the little...More

Again this church is not open, but is it a church? Walking around the building, the architecture is nice. And very happy that the white church was open to the public.

There isn't a whole lot to see here, it was a church but is not anymore. We couldn't find the entrance and realized it was through the café. They use the' monument' for functions which they were preparing for the day we came. The numbered...More

It is the usual setting for concerts, cultural events, dinners, banquets, presentations, exhibitions and many more. It is an impressive historic site for a venue of an intimate dinner to conferences up to a considerably large number of guests. The cafe was our entrance to...More

It's a bit interesting as this was built in stages doo is a mix of different materials. It's not a very ornate church, which is explained in the info (available in different languages). I was a bit miffed at having to pay an extra 3...More

We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful church. It has a lot of history including being the place of worship for the Pilgrim Fathers. The entry cost of three euros is reasonable especially when you consider there is no other revenue stream for the building....More

You enter the church through the cafe. It cost 3 euro each to go inside which I don't like paying to go into a church but this is no longer and actual church and more a monument which needs money to be cared for. When...More

Awesome. Church dates back 1000 years. From here the Pilgrims left for America. Thanksgiving derives from an autumn feast here. The painter Jan Steen is buried here. Organ dates from the 17th century. The interior space is massive. A must see.

Stopped by here around lunchtime. Nice church, it does seem different when all of the pews are removed. Good information provided about the Pilgrims and also about the changes that occurred during the Reformation.
