What a place to have a stroll. Canals, restaurants, beautiful buildings and friendly people. Due to brilliant traffic arrangements you can really walk without having to worry about getting hit by a car because there practically are none; just bicycles, mopeds and pedestrians. Way to...More

The Rhine is easily accessible by foot and bicycle. Plenty of restaurants and lunch opportunities. Shopping in parallel street (Haarlemmerstraat) and most churches and muses nearby.

One of the nicest part of the city, from which you can strongly feel how much Leiden is "dutch". Amazing canals, nice buildings and colorful ships on this amazing river, the true symbol of the city.

This is my fifth time to Holland and Leiden's Canal's and Basins are unsurpassed. Perfect for the tourist who is willing to go beyond the regular touristy trail. You are amongst the locals in a beautiful city
