One of the few old areas of Rotterdam not destroyed by NAZIs. Pilgrims sailed from here on way to England then Plymouth Rock. Pleasant, quiet, quaint. Visit the chuch where the Pilgrims may have worshipped

This picturesque quarter of Rotterdam is much smaller than I expected, but I wasn't disappointed. I loved beautiful buildings including the wind mill with their image mirrored in the water and quiet relaxing atmosphere in the evening, so much different from the busy city centre....More

Very nice area away from the bustle of the center with canals, old ships and an old church where the Pilgrim fathers set off from. However churches here have limited opening times so cant comment on the inside.

Visiting Delfshaven is a time-warp back to the 17th century, it's definitely worth a visit. The architecture, the historical ships, the fine restaurants, pubs, and art galleries.
