Great art

A small museum beside the Hofvijver, this place has some really great art. Can be seen in a fairly short time, but it is worth the time.

A small art museum with some interesting paintings, in beautiful surroundings. I wouldn't prioritise coming here uness you have a special interest in the artworks displayed here. Your visit here is unlikely to last more than 30 minutes.

interesting collection donated by Abraham Bredius. One Rembrandt and many from less well known Dutch artists. All in beautiful old houses overlooking the Hofvijver.

I am so pleased I took time out to fit in the museum Bredius into our Den Haag visit as just seeing the Pieter De Hooch and small Rembrandt was worth the entry fee. A lovely little museum giving a glimpse into life in Den Haag a hundred and fifty years ago with some interesting pictures too. Recommended.

If you really love paintings and sketches, especially ones from Dutch Golden Age, you'd better come visit this gallery. Bredius was a fervent art collector and art researcher. This gallery houses Dutch artworks collected by him. It is a small museum, but the collection is not so small, and all the artworks here look nice. If you love landscape paintings,... More

The collection of Abraham Bredius sits in an elegant town house from the mid-17 hundreds. We found the restored house to be of equal interest to the collection. The collection includes works by well known Dutch masters as well as some less known artists. Well worth a visit.

This museum shows the private collection of art historian Bredius. The house is in 18th century style. Paintings include nice still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. One is a Rembrandt. There is an interesting perspective device, one of only few remaining in the world.

This was one of the places that really delighted us in The Hague. This museum was once the home of one of the directors of the Mauritshuis, so what you see is his private art collection. It does not have the great masterpieces of the Mauritshuis, but none the less I really enjoyed the artwork there. The house itself is beautiful,... More

I was rather disappointed in this museum, maybe as so many others in The Hague are so special. It is an old house so not good for anyone with mobility problems as you have to walk up the stairs. Not my taste but the fine art collection is impressive if you like that sort of thing. The paintings by de... More
