I was just blown away how realistic the panorama painting was - I almost couldn’t go away from there. Also the paintings in the gallery were interesting and worth to see. Would recommend for anyone!

Visiting the Panorama Mesdag was more than just watching a painting. This is the largest painting, at least of Europe, with a 120x14m canvas. It has been nicely restored.

Typical Scheveningen in The Hague! I have not seen anything like it anywhere in the world yet. You can see how Scheveningen was a long time ago!

This marvellous 14foot high, 360 degree panorama of the then fishing village of Scheveningen has been preserved on its original site since 1881. It is a testament to the sense of history in Netherlands and the talent of the painter Mesdag and his friends. My...More

The panorama is well worth a visit. While there is a gallery of other works that is also interesting, the panorama is really something different. After walking through a dark passageway the optical illusion comes to life as you step into the light filled dome....More
