You must book for the tour a couple of weeks before. We didn't and just had the pleasure of the tourist centre and this provides great background information.

You could only visit it with a guide. The outside is more spectaculair than the inside, but it is fun to see al the art and gifts from countries to this institute. There are some great gifts among them. Gardens are beautiful as well.

Sadly we couldn't go into the palace because we didn't book in advance but according to the receptionist as long as you book in early it's not only easy to go in but affordable to. We just looked from the outside and went around the...More

Even if you are too late for (online) booking of a guided tour, you can enjoy the Peace Palace with a audio tour and a movie that explains a lot.

I wasn't lucky enough to go inside but, the outside is just as fascinating. The building itself is gorgeous. But have a look outside the gate...there are beautiful and meaningful displays all over.

The Palace of Peace is in it self very impressive and you should not skip the guided tour inside the building. Our guide was very good and explained very well and answered our questions very fine. In the visitor center you can for free walk...More

Travelling with a lawyer, this was always going to be a port of call, with the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. We were on a loose timetable, so hadn't booked a proper tour. Access to the buildings is only via...More
