My grandmother emigrated to America through Antwerp over a hundred years ago. The historic part of the station looks as it did then, and beautifully maintained. As a functioning train station, very efficient with many quick service food places.

This old raialway station has gotten a full makeover, but they kept the old athmosphere in some parts. It now has 3 stories of tracks which can be a bit confusing but the main sight is the hall. Beautiful decorated, a warm welcome to Antwerp

It's amazing today to think how much was invested in facade of what is essentially a bus stop for trains; but that was the glory of travel, and standing before this beautiful relic you'll find it hard not to feel that glory as well.

When you arrive at the station, you must take pictures of the arts in this beautiful station. At night, the station and the surrounding area could be a bit sketchy. Try to walk in well lit areas.
