This is a really interesting train station. Great architecture, yet still fully functional. It may be only because this was near the end of a long day of touristing that it does not get a 5. Definitely worth seeing.

Saw this place and thought it must be a palace....but no only a station! Worth a walk round to get a feel for the scale and grandeur.

Get to your train early so you can bask in the wonder of this fabulous structure. Outside and inside are both wonderful architecture. Be sure to see both side and front entrances.

Antwerp Centraal is a magnificent building from every aspect, both inside and out. Odds are, if you are visiting Antwerp you will arrive here. The station is clean, the TI is located in the lobby adjacent to the platforms. Tickets are sold near the entrance...More

Impressive building with lots of history. The old Hall at the North side is especially beautiful. Worth a visit, also to see rails on three different levels on top of each other. And also check the impressive miles-long stone bridge on which the trains leave...More

Every time I come to this train station, I'm amazed by it's beauty and timelessness. Today, it's a great mixture of classic elegance and modern efficiency, so it has all the ingredients of the perfect train station.

I have to say that out of all the central stations I've visited in Belgium/Netherlands/Germany, this is my favorite! In fact, it is so beautiful that I thought it was a church or some famous museum. Also, it's quite big so when you're ever lost,...More

At first sight the train station (and not only) is wonderful, the size is ridiculous and the building is very beautiful and bold, having some shops I had the opportunity to buy the first beer on Belgian soil and some food too!

Good morning. I have a question regarding returning a rental car to Central Station in Antwerp. Last year we had a difficult time finding the location for the return. We drove around for a long time with the agent directing us around the city. Can someone please give us easy directions on how to get there? Thank you so much!

Avis and Europcar stations are a ( min walk from the station. Eurocar also has a station in the Central Station. In the next é years it will be very difficult to get there as te main central road will be interrupted. However... More
Hi! At the end of November we will be taking the Thalys from Amsterdam to Antwerp then continue with the normal train to Brugge. Firstly, I believe that if we reserve the Thalys with the normal train extension we can choose any time for the extension as long as it is on the same day (since there is no reservation for the normal train)..? Secondly, I am very excited about seeing Antwerp Station, reading about how beautiful it is! Thus, I plan to spend a bit of time at the station checking it out. Any recommendation on what to see at the station? How about the view of the station from the outside? We will have our trolley luggage with us so not too far of a walk out of the station but would appreciate it if someone can tell us to go out which entrance for the best view of the station from outside.. Tq! Mel

Yes you can storage your luggage. Prices begin from 4.50 euros for 24 hours and rising, depends on the size of your luggage. And as mentioned above, you can easily spot the place in Antwerp station..
