It was worth downloading the free app that you can use, but remember to take your headphones, otherwise you are likely to annoy the other visitors! I would say that it's... More

This museum was recommended to us. It's fabulous! Located in the heart of the shopping/dining district of Antwerp, it is exceptional. Rubens' home is gorgeous and it's got a great collection of art and furnishings in an intimate setting. I learned a great deal about the artist and his life and gained a greater appreciation for his work. The gardens... More

Antwerp has done a splendid job in preserving this magnificent mansion, the home of their famous and favourite son, P P Rubens. The place illustrates how successful and wealthy Rubens became during his lifetime. Together with the Cathedral, an absolute must to visit.

After a few disappointments with artist's houses elsewhere, which were mostly modern recreations or clumsily assembled models, this was a gem. Atmosphere is somewhat gloomy, you will feel immersed in the past. Most paintings are not by Rubens, but selection is clever and tells a story of how Rubens taught his students and popular themes for artwork. Lots of furniture,... More

Nice little house of Paul Ruben now converted to museum. It's cramped inside so you have to have patience and this is definitely how handicap accessible but it is his original home. Lots of stairs too. The art is lovely though. Worth the walk through.

When walking from the central railway station towards the historical city, just Jump to the let hand side from the Meir and after 200 meters you will find it. It is Big house of Peter Paul Rubens. His life and art in one.

Many rooms containing paintings, furniture, statues and other artworks. I am not personally a fan or art museums, however I found this enjoyable - surprise! The building itself is lovely and has an outdoor garden for a short stroll. The architecture outside in the rear is beautiful. Worth a visit.

OK, you are in Antwerp, home of Peter Paul Rubens.....so you gotta see his home. You get a feel for how wealthy he must have been, and a feel for the art of the period. The art is good, and there is enough variety to keep even the non-art lover entertained. Look for the chair Rubens designed for himself! The... More

A beautiful, well-decorated museum in a well-preserved historical building. The place has an impressive, beautiful collection of art-work and paintings. It gives a good and complete overview of this artist's life and the art work he collected from other contemporary artists. Not to be missed if you love art!

Nothing really on Rubens life style or the house furnishing. Good collection of "loaned" pictures including a lot on Van Dyke. Nice garden but 50c for the loo!
