The area of St. Rumbold's Cathedral has been redeveloped massively in the last few years. It's very beautiful now, many restaurants and shops around, nice green area nearby and nice atmosphere. I very much recommend a visit!

Wow! Wasn't prepared for this amazing, incredibly imposing Cathedral which towers over the town. Inside is breathtaking with huge stained glass windows and a beautiful carved oak pulpit, featuring St Norbert (who else?). I didn't bother with the tower but my more agile friends ventured...More

A fascinating cathedral. Among many of the attractions inside, there is a large wooden platform for the priest marvelously sculptured. I recommend taking time to explore the entire cathedral.

Both the church and the tower are worth visiting. The tower allows the most beautiful panoramic view to be seen by visitors. The ascent to the top gives visitors the chance to learn about the history of the clocks and of Mechelen. The church is...More

Are you looking for a great viewpoint in Mechelen? Do you think you're athletic enough for a vertical adventure? The tower of St. Rumbold's Cathedral is what you need. Once you've climbed the 514 steps, you'll have a beautiful perspective of the town.

In the city center. Grand looking from outside and beautiful from inside. Hadn't been on the tower but seems they offer good city views.
