I have been here with some friends during a match of the European football championship. As we arrived we ordered 6 beers. As I haven't been to Belgium for a while I was craving for some Belgian beer. When the waitress arrived, she had 5 plastic glasses! We asked for proper glasses but we were told the the place was... Spacious old world pub/restaurant in the city centre. Great Jazz session on Saturday night. Great range of beers. Excellent food here also and served late at night.

They had a little sign on the sidewalk advertising the Plat du Jour, 9.90 euro. Steak, with house sauce, salad and fries. For 9.90, I'm in. The place is exactly what you imagine a Bistro is in your mind. A bunch of tables outside and in, a bar along one wall, some booths opposite and lots of mirrors. Then I... More

On the first night of our holiday to Brussels me and my partner were looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled across El Metteko. Overall we left very satisfied. Service was friendly and efficient. There was a great vibe and people were very chilled. Beer was very nice and the food was also very nice. I had a Flemish Beef... More

We picked El Metteko on a whim and glad we did. Attentive waiters and even explained the menu for us in detail (we do not speak any of the languages). Meal was just what we were after. Not to big and leaving you feeling "just right". Thank you!

Steak perfectly cooked, though I'm getting used to that in this city. Just a well cooked plate does not a great meal make, though. Elevated by great staff, an intimate cuban-style atmosphere and an extensive beer list. One I'll recommend to colleagues, or drag them there myself...

This is one of the amazing type of bar's that you will find in the superb Bourse area of Brussels. We have been going here for year's, they serve good honest tadty food at reasonable prices and have a great beer selection plus they have live music at the weekend and that's when this bar get's seriously busy. We were... More

This place is perfect for a beer on Saturday night when the have live music and the atmosphere is very nice but you need to order on the bar if it's crowded. Finally, we didn't eat but the menu has the traditional Belgian dishes, expensive and small, as I could see...

We went there for dinner on a Monday evening around 6, so it was nice and calm. Johhny Cash was playing in the background and there was a relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and professional. The food was good, nicely seasoned, decent portions and for a reasonable price. Will return for sure!
