Superb venue of artistic events for young creative people. The excibition was a bitt poor hovewer I was inspired from the freeky people and artistic atmosphere. I was lucky to hear psyhodelic rock concert. You can get beer, wine, tiramisu, lasagne etc. So you won't get hungry here!

The venue has great potential as a place for contemporary art. During my visit only two halls had an exhibition in them which is not enough since the place is really far from anything and is hard to reach by public transportation.

After recently visiting two Contemporary Art museums outside Belgium, I decided to take the risk and visit Wiels. They charge eight euros to see two reduce floor spaces almost empty with Art produced by "13 raising Belgian artists." If these are the emerging starts then Belgium is doomed. Zero creativity, they basically copy the same "conceptual artists" from the seventies... More

We wanted to attend the event organized for kids but staff did not provide important information on time and kept on promising that everything will be fine. We wasted more than 40 min waiting for something which did not take place at the end. The woman guide was unrespectful towards us. Unacceptable service in my view.

we went to this museum of contemporary art for an expo from Mark Leckey. We never heard of this site before , and where very surprised to see that it used to be a brewery : the great bronze kettles in the entrance hall remind us that. There is a food stand and a small (museum)shop located in the hall... More

The Wiels building used to be a brewery and is now successfully transformed in a modern art center. The main hall has the old brewing-coppers and the walls still show the old black and green tiles. Very nicely done. The upperfloors are sober with plain white walls, an excellent background for the art exhibits. On the top floor there is... More

I confirm the previous comments about average quality of the exhibitions. We went there during the "Summer of Photography" and there was 2 exhibitions that saved our visit. But you can also go there also to see this old industrial brewery: the entrance hall is great and the volumes inside the building are udge. See my pictures. Convenient parking behind... More

If you will like Wiels will depend on if you like the exhibits, and that is very personal. The restored brewery has great spaces for modern art exhibits. I personally liked a lot "Letter to a refusing pilot" by Akram Zaatari, a movie telling how it was to grow up in Beirut when it became a nightmare to live there... More

A former brewery that is now used for contemporary art with a decent cafe - busy at lunchtime -and a very interesting bookshop with magazines and books you do not normally see at larger galleries. Gallery opens 11.00 - 18.00 Wednesday to Sunday inclusive and entrance fee for exhibitions is €8 with reductions for students and seniors. It is a... More

This is a very well restored space (former brewery) but unfortunately the exhibitions are of poor quality. The area is awful.
