Locals have their food shops here. Unfortunately Mahieux closed. Not the place to go to if you have little time to spend in Brussels unless you stay close by.

This little suburban shopping center has a bit of everything and also direct access to public transport (metro & tram). My favourite is the Japanese food store.

Full of small shops, gourmet food estanblishments, boasting one of Europe's fines open markets for outstanding fresh good, flowers, and garden plants, it's also in a neighborhood replete with handsome houses, large gardens, and attractive residential streets.
