This museum focuses entirely on Brussels. Gives a fairly good understanding of the history and culture. Makes especially clear the significance of the 1830/1831 independence movement.

Not my first visit to the city hall, yet its beauty still captivates me. It really pays to go and check it out.

We only viewed the building from the outside. It is one of two buildings in Grand-Place that really need an exterior cleaning to bring them up to the beauty of the surrounding, well maintained guild buildings.

I only had a few hours during my layover to get a feel for Brussels and this museum was perfect for that. Only 8 euro and not huge, so you can get all of it done if you're pressed for time. I learned a lot...More

Archaeology on the ground floor, then lots of maps, prints, a model of old Brussels, a useful video, and more furniture (sacred and secular) extracted from various places around the city.

We wanted to learn a bit about Brussels history etc so decided a tour of the museum was a good idea. The exhibits are well presented and there are large printed cards in popular languages to read from. The scale models of the town and...More

Not What I was expecting... it looked like empty, but it does give you an idea of what Brussels iconic statues and places are about. It's okay...
