A combi ticket for the 3 museums inside the park is available for 15 € and is valid for 3 months. Tickets for the Horta-Lambeaux pavilion are also for sale over here. This museum is very quiet and you have the collection almost for yourself, quite contrary to the collection in the British Museum. It covers nearly every civilization in... More

Waw!! We loved it soo much! Me and my boyfriend just decided to go on a rainy day to this museum we find online. It's so big, there is soo much to see. Maybe even too much, they should select a few things, because there is soo much i sometimes lost my interest in a certain part. The egyptian side... More

At my only one occasion to visit this exhibition of Japanese paintings I arrived at 16:20, while the exhibition closed at 17:00 and was denied entry. Excuse was that the till closed at 16:00. I have no words to describe my disappointment and my frustration at the attitude of the insensitive heartless staff. I will definitely not come back nor... More

This Museum is one of the most extensive museums in Belgium, if you are an amateur of archaeological collections, and well known in silex from the fourth-millenium; many objects from prehistoric times, and Celtic times; also there are Non-European civilisations, as a bronze Shiva King of the Dance, an eye catcher for me, and other facinating pieces from Asia, China,... Brussels has many, many museums. Musee de Cinquantenaire is among the best. Some exhibits -the pre-Columbian exhibit, for example- are an unexpected pleasure even for an American who may be familiar with these artifacts. What I was delighted to do, however, was to see many rooms of old (pre-Baroque) tapestries among the large collection. That makes a special opportunity for... More

This museum has a bit of everything. I especially liked the jewelry, ceramics, and the merovingan items. This might have the best museum gift shop I have ever seen.

This museum is an odd mix of local interest (eg flour sacks from US WWI relief) and quirky but top notch exhibits. For some reason the pre-Columbian collection is superb - as good or better than the New York Metropolitan's. Who knew?

Europe is full of great museums and some of them are frankly so well known and popular that its very difficult to enjoy their superb collections. Its therefore a pleasure to report that the Cinquantenaire in Brussels has not a only a huge and diverse collection but that it is spacious and mercifully free of bus loads of tour groups.... More

Huge museum and would have been great for a rainy day. Unfortunately this was my 5th museum of the day so a little museumd out. Would have liked to try the 90min walk round they have signposted but instead just hit the Egyptian and Roman parts. Good choice for a visit when you've seen everything else.
