This place is always crowded with people and different activities. Its Saturday market has a lot to offer. You can easily come and spend a relaxing weekend with your friends and complete your grocery shopping for the week. There are many interesting shops around the square including quite some bookstores and nice restaurants. The two ponds nearby are indeed attractive... More

A trendy square in the suburb of Ixelles. Some of the best Belgian fries in Brussels as well as an amazing market on Sunday mornings.

A nice relaxing place to hang out in the early spring sun. Considering events in Brussels lately its nice to find a spot where people from different cultures are just out enjoying life. Lots of nice bars and eateries in the area.

The drunkards of late night are the only drawback of this place. Stay, traveler through, drink, church, concert, socialise , stop in between - it is all there for fun and relaxation. The market, the bar, the water, the space, the dogs on the lead, the tourists off it, the traffic that is not too noisy, the sky that are... More

Very nice market with fresh produce and international specialities. More and more food trucks are making their appearance as well. And the oyster bar on sunday is a true pleasure. Good wine and oysters at a sharp price.

Three goals- browsing, lunch, and buy food for dinner. This market has everything you might need or want. Bed sheets, rotisserie chicken, clothing, fruits & vegetables, cookies, live music, and food to take away. We had some delicious savory crêpes for lunch and bought an amazing variety of pasta for dinner. A fun place to watch the world go by... More

This square hosts a lively market with stalls that sell about anything from skirts to melons to rings to octopus! Really! The nearby locations are cool and nice to be explored by walk. There is a beautiful church and of course the serene Etangs de Ixelles nearby

The is a large square with numerous booths -- you can try just about everything from melons to octopus. It's not often that you find markets with so many foods to sample. You might event find some good souvenirs/gifts, like pajamas for 5 euro. This is not easy to walk if you are in the Grand Place area. Take the... More

Just buy a bunch of frites and go sit near the "Etang d'ixelles" with a book. Enjoy the calm, natural area watching beautiful swans and fountain just in front of the church!

At first sight you fall in love with it - Place Flagey is something not to be missed by a romantic soul. The perfect place for both glancing someone across the room and enlightened political discussions on the current state of world affairs. When it is not raining or even when it is, the chance of picking up someone interesting... More
