When you just walk around the buildings, they are old, metal and glass building. Real treasure is inside. I was lucky to go inside. Take your time, walk slowly and look at different flowers, some blooming and others preparing to bloom. Take a camera with you. I was without it and I still regret.

It's easy to check the opening time/dates on their website, and If you are there, it is a must see if you love nature and flowers. It gets you out of the downtown area that is always... More

If you are willing to travel as far as Laeken, or if you happen to visit the Atomium, it's really worth including a tour of the Serres Royales when they are open (spring time). Apart from the greenhouses themselves, which are tastefully decorated and full of surprises (a display with smurfs, for example), the gardens are also beautiful and you... More

If you think this is like Kew Gardens in the UK, then you are wrong. These royal greenhouses were built by King Leopold, to keep his tropical plants from Africa in. It is not open year round, it's opened for a few weeks a year only, at the end of April, early May usually. The fuschias are stunning, the geraniums... More

It's open only for a short time every year but it's totally worth if you like all kind of flowers and plants! be aware, because of the reduced opening time it's always full and you have to queque but it runs smothly.
