Now visitors from all over the world try their hand at finding a treasure at a knockdown price. Haggling is part of the fun but try to be respectful of the dealer too and a pleasant morning will be yours.

What a beautiful Sunday and great walk we had today going to the Sunday market in Tongeren. We ended up buying a few great things from our house that I am sure we wouldn't have found somewhere else !

So much here - You could spend hours looking. Prices are not bad - dependent on the "want or must have" factor. Some very nice objects, Furniture and bric-a-brac everywhere. A must do on a sunny day as most of it is outside or take...More

The flea market is one of the most interesting activities on a Sunday morning. It is very popular in the Euregion. Plenty of stalls, but be careful what you buy and what you pay. Lots of antiques shops nearby.

We drove to Tongeren specifically for the market. I don't know anything about antiques but I do enjoy wandering around the stalls and looking at all there is on offer. I found the prices to be varied and depended upon the seller. But we haggled...More

We are going there on a regular basis and I would say it is difficult to visit the market without buying something! We ended up once buying a table for our kitchen and another one for the living room. Prices are interesting and there is...More

Hi planning trip from uk to buy for vintage shop - can anyone tell us if bargains still to be had or is this going to be too expensive for people who normally shop at vide - greniers! Also do the antiques shops in Tongeren also open Sunday's? Many thanks in advance Sam

I can't help too much about the bargains because I did not buy so much but the antique shops were all open on Sunday at the same time as the market and one thing I can assure you: You will have plenty of things to see! Enjoy... More
I would like to know the name of the boutique hotel you stayed in near the cathedral when you visited Tongeren flea market. What was particularly good about this hotel? Many thanks.

Is the market held Christmas or New year's day? It is Sunday.

I think that the Antique market is held EVERY SUNDAY of the year. No matter what else.
