As others have said, the recently restored Altarpiece of the Passion of Christ and St. Denis Life makes this a can't miss stop for anyone interested in historical art. Other good pieces in the church as well.

The 16th century restored retable is one of the most magnificent I have ever seen! A gem. Don't miss it. Also the church has a mysterious historic atmosphere. Would love to hear a concert with the beautiful organ.

Saint Denis is a bit of an odd church. It looks like it is falling apart from some sides on the outside but inside it is relatively nice. The styles on the inside are odd as well. Some parts look very gothic, like the gray stone pillars, some parts look more baroque like the carved ceilings and upper walls, and... More

St Denis is like a little Frankenstein church made of bits and pieces of other churches and many designs (it seems). It is so homely you feel you must like it... but ultimately it has a long history and that history hasn't been sanitized to make it look perfect. It is a fascinating place just for being different.

A strange building housing a magnificent altarpiece carved in oak wood in the 16th century. Recently restored to its original splendor and showing an amazing level of detail.

This is a very nice place to see history and old art. Spend about 10 minutes to see the paintings and the retable. It is really worth it.

This peculiar church combines a primitive tower, a romanic nave, a gothic choir, and a rococo ceiling. Its many works of art, sculptures and paintings make a little museu mof her, and it is all for free.
