His terse response came to symbolise the resistance of American soldiers when faced with the enemy. This has been a Royal Military Museum site since 2010, where visitors can view a large collection on the theme of the Battle of the Bulge as well as a unique and extensive range of Second World War vehicles.

Active Belgian military post with the 101st Airborne Division Command Post set up. They have pictures from the war at the locations they were taken - not a lot has changed! Great historic site, led by Belgian military members, including English language tours! Highly recommended!

To tailgate off of Danieltay: ask for Henri to be your tour guide. He was born just outside of Bastogne. As a young boy, he witnessed the battle raging from afar.
