It's new since a couple of years, but it created a vibrant place in the middle of the city. Sometimes it is a market, then it becomes a place for free concerts, in winter a Christmas market, but you can always drink, sit and look...More

When we saw the first time this building right beside the Belfry , we thought it was a temporary structure because it looked really out of place ! But while taking a drink on the Plaza nearby , we were amazed by the level of...More

Strange markethall and a point of heavy discussions between the pro and the contra in Ghent. You like or dislike. I'm not a fan. You can't miss it when you walk through the city.

Modern building built where the old market hall was. If in general I do not like modern buildings, I think this is one of the few cases in which modern and old can stand together. Worth to see.

This site has mixed reviews, as a tourist, I find its modern architecture interesting (as well as it has a public piano that people played on all throughout the day). If I were a native, I could see how this sticks out as too modern...More

Let me first get this straight- I adore a bit of modern architecture, and the sunken garden area that is part of this project is actually a very good idea. The hall itself is sculptural- that is all it has going for it, as it...More
