Beautiful view of Ghent

The entrance is 8€ per person but is worth it. The view from the top is beautiful. I would definitely recommend it!

A must see of course. The tower offers a great view of Ghent, and in addition it's a small museum with clocks. There's not a lot to see in the building itself but the view is great, especially on a sunny day. Note: there is a lift, although you have to take the stairs to the first floor to get... More

The Belfry Tower is the perfect place to watch to sunset. We decided to climb to tower, but was also an elevator for those wished a different method. Its history is fascinating.

Worth a visit to see the views from the top across Ghent. Also interesting to see the bells. It was fairly quiet when we visited but I'm sure it wouldn't be as enjoyable if it was really busy as it's quite narrow in places. Handy to have the option of taking the lift (you can walk up all the steps... More

Don't miss the opportunity to climb the Belfry tower. You'll learn the history of the tower along the way and will be rewarded with stunning views. Elevator available for those who don't want to make the hike up the stairs.

The elevator takes you right to the top of this belfry where you can enjoy great views. The passageways are very narrow.

We hesitated to go up the tower but it was well worth the climb and we saw not only the bell but also the 'musical box' movement.

If you like to see the skyline of Ghent you have to visit the Belfry! The view at sunset is amazing, don't forget to bting your camera, but beware: all the other people want to take the perfect shot, too. Inside we visited a fairytale-exhibition, but it i don't think it is always there. But you can watch a lot... More

I was amazed at the number of holes put into the music box to make to bell chime music. On top of that, this was done hundreds of years ago. Absolutely amazing to see in person.

Ended up here while trying to find the Van Eyck's Altarpiece. Boy were we surprised; after already paying to enter! Ha! Happy in the end to see it -- Nice view at the top!
