A very interesting place with tons to see and experience. Many artefacts and little exhibits throughout that contribute to imagining what life must have been like back in those days. The structure is very well preserved and impressively located on the water. Very much worth...More

If you are uncomfortable with tight narrow spaces then you migh just want to look at it from the outside. But other than that it looks fantastic and also it's history is very impressive.

Well renovated castle, well worth the visit. Number of medieval weapons on display and torture methods. English language information sheets for same but unfortunately none available when we got to the weapons room. Nice views and enjoyed wandering around the walkways.

Fantastic place to visit during the Christmas holidays as it is nicely lit up and you can also see the rest of the city lit up with Christmas decorations.

Other than the narrow, winding, dark stairways, I loved this tour. Very interesting video along with the tour.

We were lucky to be visiting Ghent (the most beautiful town in Belgium!) during the winter when this castle had the Winterwonder themed tour. The Christmas trees and lighting throughout were so magical. It was open until 10pm instead of the usual 5pm. It was...More

Externally very beautiful (walls and building structure) but not so furnished inside. A room with some medieval weapons and a small torture room (not so scary). As winter time there was a kind of mysterious story to discover following the rooms of the castle. Expensive.
