Walked from Gravensteen to Patershol, loved the walk. Do know not easy with a stroller or high heels. Cosy streets with adorable houses. One of the things that maken Ghent great to visit

this is a charming area full of small restaurants. it is not overly commerciall-the majority of the medieval houses are still lived in. perfect for an early evening stroll before dinner.

Separate from the main tourists area. Worth strolling around. Medieval and great for taking pictures. Colorful

Strolling around this area of narrow medieval streets makes a change of pace from the main historic centre. But really there's not a lot to see. There are quite a few restaurants so perhaps it's a bit buzzier at night.

A lovely part of Ghent city centre, with a labyrinth of cobblestoned narrow streets to navigate. We found local bars and restaurants that catered to their locals, rather than being tourist-traps which was heavenly to find! Not an easy place to find your way around...More

Narrow medieval streets under the Castle of the Counts, with very little traffic are now a trendy part of town filled mainly with various restaurants. Nice to stroll through.

The Patershol area is the old town. Make sure you go down all the little side streets because that is were you will find the best places to eat and drink and little hidden courtyards. There is a great music festival in August. Well worth...More

After reading the reviews here, months ahead of our visit, I pinned it as a place to see. What I was expecting and what I saw were almost entirely different. Yes, the streets are narrow with interesting architecture and cobblestones but most of this part...More

Hi, the area is so tiny that it is difficult to get lost. The best is to stroll around and to enjoy the atmosphere as it is. If you still want directions, I would advise you to enter from the waterside, take the... More
