The historic center of Bruges has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 thanks to its status as one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe and its enduring Gothic architecture. The Belgian city center is cited as a great example of a medieval historic settlement, even while it has evolved over the years.

Had a lovely day at the Christmas markets in Bruges although this place would be beautiful in any season. Definitely worth a trip if you are visiting Belgium

Lots of history and superb buildings and by taking the canal boat ride and horse and carriage ride lots of information can be picked up.

Just returned from a lovely weekend at the Christmas Market. The Historic Centre is stunning and there is so much to take in. The Chocolate Shop window displays are beautiful.
