Brugge is all about great beer and there are so many places to go. This is one that you should skip. Our beers tasted like the glasses were washed in water with cigarette butts or cigar ashes. We had two different beers and we know our beers and these were not right. Either fire your dishwasher or clean your taps... More

We were visiting Bruges in December, for the Christmas market. Just off the square where the market is held is a small bar, the Don Quichotte. The bar was buzzing. They sell a variety of bottled fruit beers which we had to try; the banana one being my favourite. They don't do food, but there are lots of different restaurant... More

The market square of Brugge has many restaurants but very little to offer in the way of somewhere to just get a drink. Go here if you just want drinks. It does nothing more or less than just be a pub. The stairs to the toilets require some negotiation and the toilets are very basic (but clean). The music selection... More

My girlfriend and I frequent this bar each time we stay in Bruges. We introduced our family to it this year and we all agree its a great bar. It has a vast selection of beers, good music, sports (if its your thing) but is also very cosy with a joyous atmosphere. I recommend popping in here early afternoon for... More

Popped in a couple of times with frends, has a warm fun atmosphere played great music. Only problem is the toilets downstairs in the cellar are not very private and the last night we were there they were extremely smelly. We sat in the corner and regretted it...didn't stay for long after that. Hopefully it was a one off, give... More

We called into the Don Quichotte purely on the off chance to get out of a rain shower. What a belting pub in a town that's full of excellent pubs! I cannot recommend this place too highly, really pleasant staff, very knowledgable in the various local beers and a really quirky line in music. I will be back!
