This museum is a must to see in Bruges. You will see a good collection of Flamand artists and the famous Bosch painting. When leaving the museum do not forget to buy a nice souvenir in their gift shop.
Great collection and make sure not to miss the only work of Bosch they display - keep in mind when it was done as you admire it :-).
The collection is not really huge for the ticket price, but the flemish primitives section is worth a visit. Beeing the venue rather small, the visitor can take his time to observe the smaller details of 16th-17th century works.
I enjoyed "Madonna with Canon Joris van der Paele", which is Jan van Eyck in full flight, especially the textures, and "Portrait of Margareta van Eyck", also by her husband Jan. I can't say I enjoyed "Judgement of Cambyses," by Gerard David, but I think...More
