A baroque masterpiece

Stumbled upon by chance, an oasis of peace in the tourist maelstrom of Bruges. Beauty, space and light, don't miss it.

Beautifully clean and well maintained, with appropriate piped music it is an aesthetic experience just to stand an look. The pulpit is scarily beautiful. It is the Jesuits at their best. I just preferred St. Anne's because it was slightly down at heel. It just depends what you go for.

This is one of those churches that does not give anything away from the outside. Walking in you come across a very beautful church. Does not seem to be one of the more popular places to visit. This means less crowds and helps with the serenity of the church. Very imposing on the inside. Beauiful wooden pulpit. If you are... More

We chanced upon the church when we were ambling around in the streets without any destination in mind! The church on the inside has beautifully designed architecture and the black and white checkered tiles does have a lasting impression visually.

Go through the doors, and just stand there, looking up the central aisle. Take in the tiles, chandeliers and soak up the atmosphere. You can leave after that and it will still have been worth it !

It took our party of four a while to find this church that I had read about in the guide book. However it was well worth the shoe leather and walking! The impact of the black and white theme is beautiful and we would all recommend a visit.
