Beautiful square with a lot of nice restaurants all around. There was a local market of local produce on Wednesday morning. Great value for local products

We spent five days in Bruges and visited the Markt each morning for a coffee and to sit out watching the city go by. It's absolutely beautiful and so lovely watching the horse and carriages. It's the perfect spot for people watching - just be...More

old centre, beautiful buildings and sooo clean. Not cheap but not horribly expensive. A great people watching place. Not necessary to climb 366 steps up to top of belfry

Here you must have been otherwise you haven’t been to Brugge. Lots to do, see, eat, beer, chocolate and drink. :-)

A beautiful old square with so much character. I love walking and looking at all the stunning buildings. I’m sure you will love it too.

Well, this is mainly the place to go to in Brugges. The square - area has an amazing scenery, hold the historium museum, the Belfort tower and plenty of waffles and fries restaurants.

Stopped here for lunch, and although the cafe's/ restaurants in the square are supposedly more expensive, I didn't really find it so. They were all quite busy though, but very welcoming, and most had a real (gas) fire in...something special about having a hot chocolate...More

Parking is very limited in side streets on parking meters. It's very easy to walk on the streets and it's the best way to visit all the nice and beautifull places : by walk or riding a bike!

I personally think Bruges is way more beautiful than Antwerp. There is also more to do for tourists. However, if you want to visit to shop (clothes & shoes), I recommend Antwerp.
