Just spent 10 days in Albufeira and spent each night on and around the Montechoro Strip. It is mainly for youngsters but despite being a almost 60 year old we loved it, lots of buzzing bars and Restaurants and it was great to spend an...More

This is a truly unpleasant place to visit. It is dirty, the drains smell and the clientele are not only drunk, but frequently aggressive, even in the very early evening.

The montechoro strip is a family orientated place throughout the day however at night, it transforms into a loud, strip filled with hens, stags and drunk people. Definitely worth a visit throughout the day. In saying that I travelled here at the end of may/start...More

I used to enjoy the odd visit to the strip, not anymore. This place has gone to hell. You will literally be stalked down the street by touts trying to get you into their resturants, you will have people tramble all over you in their...More

The only reason to visit "the Strip" is just to see how Tacky and seedy it is and then you will know not to go back again. I have never liked it and this year with the thugs who caused trouble at the Invasion Portugal...More

Karaoke after Karaoke, the only place we found a good live band was in Simples, be careful when offered half price or free drinks by the people outside of the clubs because it doesn't happen.

The strip has loads of restaurants and bars so you won't be stuck for choice if you want a meal or drinks. Also has lots of nice touristy shops and is very close to the beach :)

Hi there, look like these apartments are in the actual Faro area(going by the map)? In which case it is quite a way from the strip...at least a 20 min cab ride(if not longer) I would have thought.

Never been in February but after reading this forum for years I would say a few places will be open but it certainly won`t be busy, Weekends may be a bit better with locals going out
