For all of its importance in history, the museum is an understated disappointment. Free and well worth the half hour it will take you to read every one of the meager exhibits. The giant maps showing the spread of the slave trade are the most...More

Well worth visiting this place and thinking about what really went on. Good exhibits and information. Very well done.

This visit to the museum that tells the major role that Portugal played in the African slave trade was sobering. But the black obelisks-like kiosks that display artifacts and present the narratives allowed the viewer to be so distanced from the experience that I wonder...More

This small museum is well worth an hour of your time. It’s centrally located and close to other historical sights. One ticket can be bought to cover this, St Anthony’s church and the Fort. The lower room has a few exhibits, including manacles. The upper...More

We were staying in the town so visited here on a rainy day. It is only two rooms and was rather expensive for a few sentences which they have spread out. Better outside than in save your money and don’t bother

I don’t think TA is the place through which you get an instant response. Best to look at the Museum’s website. I enjoyed visiting so hope you got to see it.
