Amazing beach and not too overcrowded. Lovely warm waters, golden sand and amazing scenery with the rock formations.

A really good beach right next to the town, easy access and facilities close by. You can hire Kayaks (guided tours of the near by sea caves) here and there are cafes and restaurants too.

Town side & opposite the castle. Small beach but you can always find a space and linked to other even smaller beaches. Sea tends to be clearer in the morning and then a bit seaweedy later🤦🏻‍♂️ Couple of beach & snacks bars with the usual...More

Praia da Batata beach is gorgeous tucked neatly between the cliffs & is located close to Lagos. It’s very safe for children due to it being protected from the winds & tides. It sits next door to Fort Ponta da Bandeira .

We went down to this beach to catch the sunrise which was awesome and it was a cool beach with caves to other beaches, close to the old town so handy to accomodation

A really nice & clean small sandy beach with the distinctive rock formations common to the region. Leads onto the Praia do Pinhao and is an easy stroll from the shops & town of Lagos

This is really a beautiful beach area: very accessible, in terms of proximity to the historic centre and in terms of stairs down to the sand. I went at sunrise and had the entire place virtually to myself! Really stunning!

To visit the beach? Well, ideally when there are very few other people about. I was there over December and January and although I did see a few people out swimming, I had the place virtually to myself. I used to go early... More
