Very nice castle. Exceptional example of medieval construction. Easy to navigate. Fairly small. A short but necessary stop while in the Algarve. Views of the country side were tremendous.

Quaint castle with small museum. Offers some interesting exhibitions and great views of Loule. Entry is inexpensive, we spent about an hour inside and on the castle, but good fun for a quick sightseeing trip

It's a small castle but with significant importance to the city and the view from the top is great. It's very well preserved, has an history associated and a archaeological museum that wort the visit.

This is well worth a visit if in Loule as it is just off one of the many tiny winding streets of this quaint little town.

First thing to stress is that the castle is very small (basically a preserved section of the town wall with an archeological museum attached and some cultural displays); however it is very well executed and only costs €1.62 for adults with children free. We visited...More
