Hidden away in the mountains, this thermal area is worth a visit. Even if you are not planning a treatment, it's an excellent place to relax. The water from this area is very famous for its high Ph of 9.5! Really tasty!

Entered down a long one way street. This little town is well worth a visit. Walk up to collect some of the very healthy water (free). Visit the local restaurant or just relax with the views

You are in Algarve at 30 minutes from the beach, but on a quiet, calm green and beautiful place. The hotel from the Spa it was nice, average breakfast, good and simpatic service. The spa was really great price/ quality.

The setting in a mountain valley is breathtaking and the narrow walkways take you through a very pleasant park-like setting. The trails are lovely and well worth a visit.

Beautiful wild and yet romantic setting with plenty of lovely paths for short and long walks and nice little rivers running through. Peaceful and perfect for an outing alone or with friends or family. Perfect for pique-niques. There are also a couple of restaurants.

In Monchique I would thoroughly recommend restaurant "A Charrete" near the center of the village. They have won several prizes but still keep that rural ambiance. they do most of the famous local dishes...
