We hadn’t realised just how windy (& cold) Portugal could be so it’s been a mission to find sheltered places to go. (I’d not read any trip advisor reviews about the wind so am keen to let people know that all year it is windy...More

This is a very nice beach which you can access to after walking down steep stairs - the water is emerald green , the place is not too busy even in the middle of July! Located between Cabo Sao Vicente and Sagres.

Only 3km walk from the towns centre, this beach is amazing and worth making the effort to check out. Nice little waves in Summer and the potential for good surf in winter. Caves to explore and a beach bar.. Don't let the stairs put you...More

Alot of steps but we'll worth the effort, stunning, car park beside the steps. Visit terra restaurant across the road while you're there for the perfect day out

This is the best beach on the Algarve. You need a car to get there, and there is a steep walk down from the top, where you park next to the road, down to the beach itself but it is worth it! Fabulous beach. Great...More

Beautiful beach surrounded by cliffs. Super soft sand - nicer than many of the other Algarve beaches we visited. Also seemed more protected from the wind, although that may have just been on the day we visited. One big drawback is the lack of washroom...More

This is a very pretty, small beach. But be aware that the way up and down is a bit strenuous, with steep steps. The beach itself is surrounded by beautifully colored rock cliffs. There is plenty of parking near the steps.
