Its location is very n the heart of angra on a ver popular street. For those who admire the art that roman churches have to offer its a great place to visit.

I would not recommend it because of the very arrogant "tour guide" we encountered who insisted that we could not visit unless we took the tour and "donated" one euro each. certainly do not mind the donation part but really resent being strong-armed by someone...More

Very nice old cathedral in middle of Angra. You pay 2 Euros and get guidebook. The cathedral is simple, not like those basilica's that you see in bigger cities, but nice with lots of history daring back to 14th century.

Quiet, lovely church in the heart of town. Beautiful large Ming vase and wood candelabra brought by the Pope.

My husband an I recently visited Angra do Heroismo....this was the first church that we visited on our first day in Angra. We were very impressed with the architecture and how the church has been restored after the damage from the earth quake of 1980....More

The Se Cathedral is best viewed from the exterior as it's interior is less than impressive. Yes it is large but also dark with only small windows to let in natural light.

You can hear the bells from all over the town so why not visit this lovely church? We attended Sunday mass despite not understanding a word of Portuguese. The choir was wonderful.

Not sure, we didn't get up in time when we were there. I believe it was at 800am though.
