A wonderful place to relax after a strenuous day of trekking up and down the numerous city hills. Beautifully tended gardens with many local and exotic specimens. And FREE!

This is a great little oasis in downtown Angra, adjacent to the museum. We visited just as the azaleas were blooming!

The garden here is really beautiful. In late March not all of the flowers were in bloom, otherwise it would have been even more beautiful. There is a walking path that goes to the top of the fort for a view of the city.

We loved walking around this garden with its early spring blooms. Lots of interesting flowers, scrubs and trees from around the world. It was a nice respite from the noise and bustle of the traffic.

We made several trips to this garden. It is worth the effort to walk up to the obelisk as one will be rewarded with spectacular views!

The garden is in the middle of Angra and offers a green oasis from the shops and cafes. There were flowers blooming in March and everything was very green. From here, you can climb up to the obelisk for some great views of Angra.

Very tranquil place in which to relax in the centre of the city. Beautifully laid out in a formal pattern and depending on the season the colours are stunning. Like the rest of the city the upkeep is immaculate.
