Nice park, nearby the river for jogging, cycling or simply walk arounf. There's a lack of bars/pubs in this area because of the floods in the Winter, but it's a must go on the Easter/Summer time (from March to September)

The park is near the center. You can walk both sides of the river. There is a walking bridge across the river. There is a little beach, you can rent boats, there is place for a picnic, there is som shadow, etc.

Lots of space to relax on a hot day. We came on an overcast day. Lots of benches and places to sit and enjoy a snack or drink. No cafes or stores here so bring your own stuff. I would definitely come back.

As nice as the University area was, my favourite part of Coimbra was this park by the river. You get views of the old town, wildlife, fresh air and an absolutely brilliant pedestrian bridge!

Peaceful and quiet experience. A must in Coimbra city, an University City, very much attended by students in fair weather.

We were just surprised that more people were not out enjoying the gorgeous park since we had such lovely weather. The river views are beautiful and the walk among the trees very tranquil.

We walked for at least 30 minutes along the river bank There is a great tree lined path and also a pedestrian only bridge that takes you over to the other side.
