Part of a huge residential complex (1,142-acre,) this championship par-72 golf course is one of the masterpieces of the famous course designer William "Rocky" Roquemore, which features an impeccably maintained course that meanders amongst the hillsides, affording splendid views of the Sintra hills.

We played the course in a group of 8 players, recently having Quinta da Marinha, Sport Clup Lisboa, Oitavos Dunes- to mention some. The Belas was a great disappointment. Course layout is interesting and greens was in good shape. All the rest lacked maintenance. Terrible tees, bad fairways with lost of weed, lots and lots of animal holes, unevenly cutting.... More

Our group of 6 visited Belas last Sunday on our way to Lisbon Airport After playing some great courses , Royal Obidos and Praia Del Rey,etc we were very disappointed with Belas . The 1st Tee box set the scene , bare , bumpy etc and things got worse .Fairways bare and littered with animal holes, bunkers with grass growing... More

Some ok holes but that's all the good stuff you can really say when you compare it to so many great courses very close by like the exceptional Penha Longa. There are bare patches of grass everywhere, weeds growing out of the bunker, different types of sand in each bunker and when we played the greens were bright WHITE cos... More

This course is very poorly maintained with tee boxes full of divots, fairways with bare mud patches and bunkers with weeds growing in them. Only good point is the greens.

The course while well designed is poorly maintained. Played here with a group of 16 and all agreed this was the worst of the four courses we played. No signs at greens to indicate where the next tee was, grass growing in bunkers some with little or no sand

Belas, is the perfect place to buy a plot or an apartment for living in a very quiet place surround for many pine trees, a golf course, plenty of beautiful small gardens, and very well kept, by gardeners. Some wild animals, but harmless. Ten minutes away from big shopping malls, and many excellent restaurants near the sea coast

Beautiful golf course, with attention to every detail. A very good sense of environmental concern for the landscape, water consumption, type of vegetation. A golf course can easily become an environmental problem. Not in this case.

Excellent golf course with all facilities. Good restaurant and a very challenging course for seasoned golfers. Nice place and very quiet although almost always with moderate wind which makes it even more attractive to competitive golf players. Very nice landscape with some beautiful, and somehow difficult, holes. Recommended! Special prices during summer months.
