The numbe rof people amazed me. From the sides it looked dead but once you entered there were thousands of people inside. Ground floor is full of modern slot machines while the first floor had the tables. Even food etc was available at decent prices.

I expected the stakes to be high, but the roulette wheel had 5 euro chips as the minimum bet. Blackjack tables were 10 euros and up for a minimum bet. I assumed such a big place would have a wider range of bets, especially since...More

If you have a limited amount of time, I would spend more time in Sintra or Cascais; no need to stop in a smoky casino and lose your money.

I'm not a gambler so, would not have been there if not for the fado show. I loved it. 3 musicians, 2 singers, a male and a female, each played 2 sets. I thought it could be a bit boring or too touristic but it...More

I’m sure this place, given a tour, would be absolutely fine but turning up here, late in the evening with some friends, it seemed such a gigantic place that we quickly got lost

I went to eat at the buffet restaurant. Just to get to it, you have to pass through so much cigarette smoke, which seemed to be wafting everywhere. The buffet restaurant is a one-time thing, if you want to eat quickly. However, I would say...More

Won’t be rushing back here in a hurry. Loads of people smoking inside, making most machines unplayable. Minimum £5 chips on the roulette tables too, so you’re stuck with playing high stakes. The only positive would be that the drinks aren’t too expensive, you can...More

We have stopped by this iconic Casino having Ian Fleming and James Bond in mind, but were told that it was closed. It's a pity that they do not have a day tour to get a glimpse of the interior! On the other hand, the...More
