The Hop on Hop off Red or Yellow buses stop almost opposite the narrow street that it operates from. If you haven't got the all day travel card, then it's a bit expensive, but what the heck, you are on holiday and you need to...More

We visited on the walk to the time out market - the tram wasn't working the day we visited but it was still well worth the visit to see these fabulously old trams in the narrow streets - fabulous photography opportunities

This is one hell of a steep ride. Crosses over with the tram coming the other way half way up. Great way to save your legs but don't pay in the car, make sure you have the daily metro card. Less crowded than Gloria.

We chose to ride on this rather than be like sardines on tram 28. Short pleasant ride and not bad price. We walked back down and got some great photos of the funicular. Would recommend doing this if you can't face the crowds of tram...More

The ride with this funicular line is longer than that of Gloria. The same rule applies here - buy the one-day metro card, it is cheaper than pay the price of this ride. It is also a good idea to take a ride on the...More

A bit of a step back in time but a funny little ride. It makes getting up to the top of the hill a lot easier than walking.

This is well worth the 3.7 euros - or included in a metro or Lisboa ticket! Great fun and lovely photos!

Enjoy a cocktail, discover a jazz club, hit the dance
floor or simply grab a beer and catch up with your
friends in the street: Bairro Alto, Bica and Cais do
Sodré are the core of it all. Amazing rooftops,
restaurants, cafes, bars, art galleries, museums and
theaters abound. Start off by admiring the river from
the Santa Catarina belvedere, have a cocktail at
PARK's rooftop bar, try a typical Portuguese steak, or

Or the reverse after also visiting the church next door and the Camoes Sq on the way?
