Frankly, this is a beautiful tribute to Portugal's greats. However, for me, this is where I discovered Fado, the sound and poetry of the Portuguese people - at the tomb of Amalia, where a woman was sweeping the flower of the remnants of bouquets left...More

This building commemorates all the important portuguese persons. It's a beautiful building and worth the visit! You can climb up on top of the roof and take some nice pictures.

The tributes to all those icons of Portuguese history are really well done! I was glad I went and visit this place. It is not expensive. It cost 4 euros to get in.

Architecture is something to be seen both inside and out. Resting place for Portugal's greatest personas and treasures.

Located in the heart of the major sightseeing area is the National Pantheon. I wasn't sure if I wanted to visit or not as there are so many churches to see in the centre of Lisbon, in my mind they were all merging into one...More

But like most of the things in Lisbon, it doesn't stand out as a must. There was nobody checking to see if admission to the dome was paid, so I'd just enter the church part and take my chances if I were you.

You can be thankful that most common travel guides
don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part
of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel
like independent villages in the capital's center, and
more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants
and parks, as well as important monuments like the S.
Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a
spectacular option for those looking for a more
