A lively pedestrian precinct with sidewalk cafes and buskers lives far into the night. If coming by Metro ensure you turn LEFT at the postion of choice and proceed via 3 escalators up to Baixa station......RIGHT will take you directly outside to Victoria St. but...More

Wandering around CHiado is the best way to see everything. Quaint and narrow streets wind and zig zag. Street entertainment is alive and hopping.

Chiado is all things cool with the best restaurants, finest shops, and hippest bars. Come 10pm, this is where you want to explore on any summer evening.

Around every corner is something interesting and worth a look. Plazas, churches, shops, and great architecture. It's everywhere.

You must make your way to Chiado if you find yourself in Lisbon, a very quaint place to go for a quick bite, or just walk around and admire the beauty surrounding it!

I guess Chiado is the place to be if you're into fashion at decent prices and up for a walk through the stores. As a regular Lisbon visitor I must say that I always visit it !

As there is so much to take in and never enough time, here is one of the best places to start exploring Lisbon; take time to relax, ..in a nice oasis of leisure or in a tropical garden; vived area, many restaurants and cafes, museums.

This area provides an ideal vantage point from which to view the town. One can get onto the famous lift from here, but this is not necessary as it provides views from a point just a few meters lower than the lift would (saving you...More

We stayed in this neighborhood for two nights. Lots going on. Good restaurants. Lots of night life. Museums. Shopping. You name it. Would definitely recommend staying in this neighborhood. Lots of great sites beyond Chiado that are in easy walking distance.

Enjoy a cocktail, discover a jazz club, hit the dance
floor or simply grab a beer and catch up with your
friends in the street: Bairro Alto, Bica and Cais do
Sodré are the core of it all. Amazing rooftops,
restaurants, cafes, bars, art galleries, museums and
theaters abound. Start off by admiring the river from
the Santa Catarina belvedere, have a cocktail at
PARK's rooftop bar, try a typical Portuguese steak, or

Yes they are, however like everywhere in the world "influenced by fast food chains" with a bit of local taste. as Portuguese i suggest you to go to Terreiro do Paço or Alfama areas to really enjoy Portuguese culture.
