It's a fairly steep walk uphill (or you take the #28 tramway) but you simply won't regret! And if you are lucky, there is a mobile kiosque waiting with some refreshments. For all the lovers: you can fix your love-padlocks on the railing... ;-)

There are many viewpoints in Lisbon that offer you views of the city and its roofs. This one has the best view over the downtown area. It's also not as well-known as the castle for example, and thus a great place to relax and take in the views.

You can get there by tram, you have to take a small walk after that. This view almost kills you. what a great view of this great city. Have a beer there and savor the moments.

I would almost say that it's not worth going to any of the other viewpoints because this one tops them all!

The viewpoint gives you and amazing view over the city. We took tram 28 (the beautiful old yellow one) to tramstop Graca and from there it is just a short walk to the viewpoint. Tip: if you like to have a beer here at sunset either bring your own or walk down to Miradouro da Graca, just a 5-10 minute... More

My favourite place in Lisbon. It's just perfect during the sunset. You have to walk up a lot, but it's definetely worth it :)

Miradouro da Senhora do Monte is the best viewpoint of Lisbon!! Even better than the castle. Another advantage is that this Miradouro is the one less crowded!!

One of my favorite Miradouros in Lisbon. A very realistic view of the city, with - if your lucky - nice bossa nova bands playing in the background, making this a perfect spot to see Lisbon getting lit up.

Used to be one of the best kept secret spots in Lisbon, Nowadays a bit to crowded, but whats no to crowded in Lisbon ! Here you have a magnificent 270º view over Lisbon. Take the time to visit the Chapel of "Senhora do Monte" or "São Gens". In this chapel you can admire a marvelous 18 century painted clay... More

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
