I booked the tour online randomly after reading few good reviews but was not really sure what to expect, though I was told by many friends that Lisbon's nightlife and party scene is pretty fantastic. To be honest, my experience did not start very well as the Pub Crawl booked for Friday night, 2nd December did not happen as no... More

I did a walking tour with Hugo and he was amazing!! He is very knowledgeable and very entertaining! I did many walking tours (free and paid) over the span of 10 weeks and his was still one of the best. He was also helpful with me making plans in other cities. I emailed him days after our tour and he... More

We stayed at Lost Inn Lisbon hostel which promoted the free walking tours. We went on a tour of Alfama with Hugo, who was an extraordinary tour guide. He made the tour incredibly fun and interactive and told great stories. We would highly recommend doing this tour with Hugo! Thanks from Texas, William Hoinoski and Drake

Marco was our Guide . He was very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Before the tour began , he asked us introduce ourself and about our country , since i was traveling alone it was good for me to find some quick friends. He gave us brief history of Lisbon , the city of tolerance. He walked us from Rossio Square... More

Booked this pub crawl day of for a Thursday night pub crawl. Very easy to meet our guides, Marco and another guy who's name I cannot remember (I'm sorry!!). They were really fun and really tried to get us all drinking and interacting with one another, and also were hanging out with us like friends versus tour guides, which was... More

Thanks for the review, Hanna. Bairro Alto is the most famous bohemian neighbourhood of Lisbon so if we did not pass by it there would be people complaining about it :) Sometimes is not easy to please everyone but I'm happy that you had fun and hope that you return for more fun in the future :D More

Maria is such a lovely and energetic person. She guided us to Alfama. On our way she was smiling and shining the whole time and had interesting stories to tell and it was a pleasure to listen to her. Her knowledge about the city is impressive! We would do it again!

I liked the first tour so much, I came back the next day and did the other. First tour was of the castle district and old parts of Lisbon with Hugo. The tour was great and Hugo was fantastic. Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
