While we were walking around, we stopped here. It is a great viewpoint of the city. You can take some beautiful photos. However, there can be a big crowd mid-day and afternoon. Worth the stop though

When coming down from Saint George Castle, this is a nice place to stop, take a deep breath and nice coffee. The view of the river and of the rooftops is relaxing, particularly in a sunny day.

It is nice if you are there. You can see the roofs of Alfama houses and some churches. The view over the Tagus river is unfortunatelly not the best since the river shore is not so nice. So, nice to be there, but if you...More

Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and,
of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music.
The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755
destroyed most of the city but the contiguous
neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained
standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent
Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the
Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of
