Alface Hall... Alface Hall is the spot to relax and have a drink with your friends! This cosy bar/café, that was once a newspaper print-house, was totally decorated with collectable items to create a unique environment. We invite you to listen to great music of our vinyl collection, while tasting the best Sgroppino in Portugal, accompanied by one of our famous toasts. Also Alface Hall is a cultural spot in Lisbon where you will be able to watch live shows of Jazz, Bossa Nova, Soul, and so much more. Bring your music talent .... we have JAM Sessionshope to see you here.....

We were looking for live blues and were recommended Alface Hall but when we arrived at 10pm on a Friday evening, the music playing was Beatles and pop covers blaring uncomfortably in the small venue.

My wife and I have tried to go out to a live music venue in most cities we have visited in the last 5 months. Sometimes it's cultural eg flamenco in Madrid. In this case it was a local venue, with a cover band playing at Alface hall. We didn't know what to expect. We arrived at 8.45 for a... More

We've tried a couple of live music bars and found this one to be the best. Shows start earlier than other places and seats are scarce so come early if you can. Otherwise, enjoy a crowded dance with the other tourists. Drinks are basic but inexpensive, and the atmosphere is informal and the band is at a reach.

This bar had live music a few nights I was in Lisbon. Bands varied, not the typical cover bands but more original (although playing covers not original music). On busy nights there's no seating, just standing room only. They sell a range of craft beers which I enjoyed trying! Worth a visit for sure!

How can you not miss this place with the people on the street trying to budge their way in. Great vibe with live music, but limited seating. Surprising the washrooms were clean for a hostel / bar environment. The drinks were good, but not enough to justify the high costs. Elsewhere is 1 Euro cheaper. It was fun for a... More

I'm probably quite piggy when it comes to music... This being said the live band playing here was absolutely terrible. The atmosphere was great however, so if you don't care for talented musicians and you like modern hits as well as classics, this is the place to go. We went here hoping for a nice jazz venue (as advertised) but... More

I went to this place to have a beer and the atmosphere is very nice, people talking in the streets with their drinks, a band playing inside with good music. I just found the beer a bit expensive (5,5€) but it is the price for a night out.

Awesome place for a drink in the very heart of Bairro Alto. Comfortable sofas and armchairs, great (and cheap!) beers and drinks. Incredible music! Very often also played live.
