It was late, other bars were closing, and we seen the sign of JAMAICA and thought why not. we were a group of 8-10 people. the place was so packed out that we were like a herd of cattle just being pushed by the crowd. We tried to enjoy a dance. then realise things are gone from my handbag, Pickpocked,... More

I don't know how it is still allowed in Portugal to smoke in a closed place but after spending one hour there my clothes were stinking and I could hardly breathe. Besides, men have to pay minimum consumption to go... More

Went there on a Saturday night, it's small and smokey, they played all my favourite indie songs from the uk in the late 80s. Had a great dance, it didn't feel at all dodgy, would go again

Stay way of this place as it is often frequented by the worst scum in town. Some of my friends were robbed inside this club.

The bar is very small, it's dark (not in a good way) and the staff is not very nice. It's far to expensive for the door price (7€).

Jamaica is a small club of the city of Lisbon. The space is set in an area of streets where names of many other cities and countries line up: Tokyo, Copenhagen… The place was born in 1971 and the name was supposed to attract those coming in the ships of coffee of the Caribbean. It was the first disco of... More
