Fantastic view over Lisbon hills

If looking for a coffee break, you might as well grab it here, where you have good service and a nice panorama view over the City of Lisbon

We went to the cafe' for drinks and already by entering the place I was fascinated by the retro atmosphere and decoration. In fact it is a theater but it is frequently visited as a cafe'. I soon understood why: the atmosphere is just fantastic, waiters quick and friendly and you can just sit there sipping a wine facing the... More

I have not been to any shows, but the coffee is wonderful. Nice place to spend your afternoon reading, or drink a glass of wine with couple of friends. Beautiful vie over Lisbon

A local hipster recommended this place. We were really impressed by the creative interiors, the friendly and polyglot staff, well priced drinks and a fantastic view across Lisbon. We spent quite some time marveling at the view and drinking gin and tonic. This was a real high point of our visit.

After many years living in Lisbon, only recently after living abroad for just as many years I got to know this place. It might be a bit of a walk to get there but it is definitely worth it. The music is cool and you can get food and cake and a drink while enjoying a most fantastic view of... More

The interior design is amazing, probably one of the best of all places I have been in Lisbon. Friendly staff. A good place to spend an afternoon studying, working or simply relaxing. Has wifi and plugs.

Only can use this words to describe this place, when i arrived lot of antiques on the walls and everywhere, they have managed to use old things to create nice things, also an amazing view, great windows that let you enjoy a beer or a softdrink. Nice music that you can choose and play from a cd player. Staff was... More

This is actually one of my favourite places in Lisbon. It´s a bit hidden but if you find it you´ll have a great view from the café da garagem. Tea and coffee is very cheap. Unfortunately the pinoculars the have in front of the windows doesnt really work. Anyways its a nice idea ;) You can find lots of very... More

Amazing view, amazing place, great experience. We visited the caffe of Teatro da Garagem during night time with a friend of ours that lives in Lisbon. The view was fantastic, the decoration was so unique and the place was very atmospheric. We ordered some sandwiches and a couple of beers and enjoyed the view. Totally recommended!!!

Staying in Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria

Neighbourhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
