A sunny Tuesday in late October and a chance to visit the Museo D'Air at Sintra Air Force Base No.1. The sign for the museum and air base led us to the museum a few kilometres to the North East of Sintra old town. You...More

Thank you for your comment and for your visit. Some days we have less visitors but it must have been a pure coincidence, because in 2017 we had more than 50 thousand visitors. Hope to see you again.

Thought it will be bigger and will have more modern era plans but it was nice anyway. Beautiful place for aircrafts lovers. Plans in a great condition. Little sad that not all of the descriptions are in English.

We went there with 7 y.o. kids and it was fun. It is cheap, just 3 euro and there are a lot of interesting planes. The museum is bright, clean and modern. We spent 1,5 hours there and would recommend it.

For telling the story of aviation from the Portuguese perspective, the Museu do Ar does the job phenomenally well. When you walk in, you begin a timeline from the first "birdman" to jump off an igreja, and the "manifesto" of the Portuguese Leonardo da Vinci,...More
