We were on a coach tour and this was an early stop on the way. You can get some good views of the surrounding area. There are clean toilets and a cafe here as well as a few stalls selling tourist goods.

A good point to make for to look across Funchal. Well worth a passing visit but it won't occupy you for more than 20 minutes.

Near Sao Martino, view point looks over city and surrounding mountain slopes. There is a great well kept viewing area, with eating and drinking facilities. Guides are outside the facilities are very helpful.
